Our Team
Samuel F. Boyd, GSP
Samuel holds degrees in Public Health Science as well as Safety Sciences from Slippery Rock and Indiana University of PA. He began his professional work in the transportation industry where he spent three years focusing on safe methods of transportation, keeping drivers in DOT compliance and aiding in quality field services in the oil and gas industry. Samuel then transitioned into manufacturing where he spent two years in the glass industry in Pittsburgh, PA. Focusing on both safety and employee productivity, Samuel completed LEAN Six Sigma training and was part of a team that increased productivity to company high sales and kept EHS scores to the competitive industry levels. Samuel currently is in the Environmental Emergency Response and Cleaning Industry and works daily to ensure the team he manages in the Marcellus Shale/Utica Basin region continues to be the industry example of safe, clean and compliant leaders.
Gabriel M. Boyd, GSP
Gabriel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management from Slippery Rock University. He began his career as a safety professional working in the electrical construction industry. He has provided guidance on commercial industrial projects such as steel plants, and new build power generation facilities. In addition, he has civil transportation construction experience working on major highways and airports. Gabriel has led safety for electrical substations during upgrades, and new builds for both short and long term projects. Most recently Gabriel has experience on oil and gas sites in the Tri-State area. Gabriel has built entire safety programs, and specializes in Safety Leadership Programs.
Lucas A. Boyd
Lucas graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Slippery Rock University. His attitude toward sales has always been lead with a safety first approach and doing right by his customers, employees, and co-workers. His background in the industrial cleaning sector of midstream oil and gas operations helped earn his team a nomination for supplier of the year for one of North America’s largest oil and natural gas producers. His most recent experience includes sourcing and supplying industrial cleaning equipment for the energy sector, and industrial services industries. He is B42L’s chief sales person and is involved daily in providing stellar safety programs that are tailored to the teams needs.
Jefferson Awards
Foundation
The Jefferson Awards are presented on two levels: national and local. In 1976, former Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editor John Craig established a local program honoring Western Pennsylvania’s “Community Champions” — everyday citizens who encountered problems in their neighborhood and created solutions to fix them. Today, the Post-Gazette continues to honor outstanding volunteers through the Jefferson Awards program.
